Switzerland can participate on an equal footing in a vast number of European research and innovation projects
Are you active in research and/or innovation in the private or public sector? Do you want to learn from others? Do you have expertise to offer? Are you interested in participating in an EU-funded project together with international partners?
If the answer is "yes", then you should absolutely have a closer look at the possibilities that the EU Framework Programme “Horizon 2020” has to offer.
Opportunities
Horizon 2020 is a large programme dedicated to research and innovation that runs until 2020. It offers a multitude of opportunities for fully bottom-up projects (e.g., ERC, SME Instrument) or top-down activities in thematic areas (e.g., ICT, health, energy, nanotechnologies). Small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) can apply for collaborative projects with a consortium or submit a project alone under the SME Instrument. Swiss SMEs have been very successful in the latter, with 22 of 70 proposals funded in the last call.
