The Belgian, not-for-profit organization, IRU Projects ASBL is looking for partners for the following topic within the Horizon 2020 challenge health, demographic change and wellbeing:
IRU Projects ASBL supports the International Road Transport Union (IRU) and its members in reaching their policy objectives on road safety, energy efficiency and sustainability.
The aim of the project is to analyze health problems professional driver life style is causing and based on those findings, develop a new application for smart phones that would enable professional (bus, coach, taxi and truck) drivers to stay in shape and good health despite long driving hours. The app could include a set of basic easy exercises; diet recommendations as well as, emergency numbers, medical points and pharmacies in the area. The application would help self-management of health, prevent possible diseases and enable professional drivers to remain healthy.
IRU Projects ASBL has a lot of experience both as coordinators and partners in FP7 projects. They could act as coordinators or partners for this topic.
The following expertise is needed: Health professionals with expertise in studies related to the improvement of drivers health state and their performance.
