Survey on the Swiss Participation in Horizon Europe

Survey on the Swiss Participation in Horizon Europe and Related Programmes and Initiatives

This is an information from the State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation SERI.

Dear researchers, innovators and partner organisations,

The first year of Horizon Europe is now over and with it a first series of numerous calls in all scientific disciplines and along the entire value chain. This also applies to the related programmes and initiatives for which Switzerland has planned an association, such as the Euratom Research and Training Programme, ITER and the Digital Europe Programme. Switzerland has been treated as a non-associated third country and therefore has had limited opportunities to participate.

In order to obtain an early qualitative overview of the implications of the current situation, the State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation SERI is conducting a brief survey on the current Swiss participation in Horizon Europe and related programmes and initiatives.

The aim of this survey is to gather your experiences so far. The information you provide will be used in various settings, e.g. to inform key policy makers and to design transitory measures accordingly.

At the end of the survey, it would be essential that you document your experiences with specific examples. You can indicate whether you allow us to use your examples for illustration purposes of the situation, either with or without the indication of a contact person.

As we distribute the survey through different channels, you may receive it more than once. You are welcome to forward this survey to colleagues who might be interested in sharing their experiences.

The survey takes about 5-10 minutes to complete. The information provided will be aggregated and remains strictly confidential, with the exception of the concrete examples if you decide that they can be used for illustration. You can access and fill out the survey until Wednesday, February 16, 2022.
