Prof Dr Mira Katan Kahles and Prof Dr Mascha Kurpicz-Briki tell in their Success Story how they successfully participated in Horizon Europe and how Euresearch was able to support them.
The neurologist Prof Dr Mira Katan from the University of Basel, Department of Clinical Reasearch, successfully received EU funding for the "Umbrella" Project which aims to revolutionise the way they manage strokes by implementing a comprehensive approach that addresses gaps along the whole stroke care pathway, from diagnosis and emergency treatment, right through to rehabilitation and the prevention of further strokes. Prof Dr Mascha Kurpicz-Briki works at the Bern University of Applied Sciences (BFH), School of Engineering and Computer Science in Biel. The BFH is partner in the BIAS project, a four-year project, funded by the European Union’s Horizon Europe Research and Innovation programme that will empower the Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Human Resources Management (HRM) communities by addressing and mitigating algorithmic biases.
