New 2023/24 Digital Europe Work Programme

The European Commission has adopted 2 multi-annual work programmes (2023-2024) for the Digital Europe Programme, outlining the objectives and specific topic areas to be funded with nearly €1.3 billion. Compared to Horizon Europe, this programme generally requires 50% co-funding.

The main work programme projects that will deploy digital technologies such as data, AI, cloud and advanced digital skills, while the second work programme focuses on cybersecurity with the overarching theme of enhancing the EU collective resilience against cyber threats through the implementation of the European Cybersecurity Competence Centre.

The upcoming calls will open in Q3 of 2023, with deadlines in Q1 of 2024. Detailed information will follow as soon as it becomes publicly available. 

Even though Switzerland is - as of now - not associated to the Digital Europe Programme, participation of Swiss entities is possible if their contributions is deemed necessary. For more details regarding eligibility to specific actions, interested parties are invited to contact .
