EuroHPC JU Launches New Quantum Calls
The EuroHPC Joint Undertaking (EuroHPC JU) has launched four new calls to accelerate quantum technologies, enhancing Europe’s capabilities in navigation, computing and standardisation. Countries associated to Horizon Europe, including Switzerland, are eligible to participate in the following calls:
- Large-Scale Photonic Quantum Computing Platform Technologies (HORIZON-JU-EUROHPC-2026-PQC-06) This call aims at establishing a strategic European initiative to develop scalable, modular, and interoperable photonic quantum computing platforms.
- Quantum Machine Learning (HORIZON-JU-EUROHPC-2026-QML-07) - This call aims to strengthen Europe’s scientific and technological capabilities in quantum computing and accelerate the industrial uptake of quantum-enhanced AI solutions.
- Standards for Quantum Technologies (HORIZON-JU-EUROHPC-2026-STAND-05) This call aims to support and accelerate the development and adoption of European and international standards for quantum technologies, enhancing interoperability quality/reliability assurance, and trust in quantum systems.
Please note that the Quantum calls HORIZON-CL4-2026-04-DIGITAL-EMERGING-12 and HORIZON-CL4-2026-04-DIGITAL-EMERGING-18 will be cancelled through an upcoming amendment and replaced by the above-mentioned call identifiers.
