The Joint Research Council (JRC) opens its scientific laboratories and facilities to people working in academia and research organisations, industry, SMEs, and more in general to the public and private sector.

- Reaction Wall of the European Laboratory of Structural Assessment – ELSAThe ELSA Reaction Wall is used for tests on full-scale specimens for the safety assessment of structures against earthquakes and other natural and human-made hazards.2026-1-TCB-ELSA-ReactionWall (training)
- Hopkinson Bar of the European Laboratory of Structural Assessment – ELSAThe Hopkinson Bar facility (HopLab) is used for the study of materials and of structural components to very fast dynamic loads, such as those due to blasts and impacts, where knowledge of the material behaviour under high strain-rates is necessary.2026-1-TCB-ELSA-HopLab (training)
