EIT Food Biotech Innovation Call

The European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) Food is launching a call designed to boost high-potential innovations and help them reach commercialisation. This funding opportunity is part of the EIT Food Co-financed Biotech Portfolio. This portfolio has identified two key industry challenges where innovative solutions need to be found. The call is looking for proposals that respond to these challenges, and bring solutions to market.

Proposals must target priority areas identified by EIT Food and the Portfolio Corporate Co-financers, and demonstrate their potential to deliver long-term impact across our Missions. Your proposal should address one or both of the following challenges:

- Design sustainable Downstream Processing to increase energy/water savings
- Develop Real-time Process Monitoring and Control technologies

Grant funding of maximum €400K per project over a period of no longer than 10 months will be provided; the total funding allocated to the call is €3M.
