This event offers the opportunity to get involved in shaping civil security research in the upcoming Framework Programme Horizon Europe. It takes place in Brussels on 6 and 7 November 2018.

The workshop discusses issues such as the mission approach of Horizon Europe, the relation between civil security research and defence, as well as the dissemination and commercialisation of R&I results.

The target audience includes stakeholders from universities, the industry, and public or private operators. Participants will have the possibility to get in touch with security stakeholders and representatives of the European Commission. They may also take part in the "market place of ideas and and leading figures”.

The event takes place on 6 and 7 November in Brussels' Museum of Natural Sciences. It is organised by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research in collaboration with the German National Contact Point for Secure Societies. The event languages are German and English (simultaneous translation available).
