    WESens Consortium Looking for Partners for ICT-02-2018 Flexible and Wearable Electronics

    Israeli based GARD Ltd SME is looking for partners for a project proposal that they are coordinating.

    Proposal outline:

    The WESens consortium will develop lightweight, flexible, printed electronic patches that could be integrated in people's clothes, to measure vital signs (like breathing patterns, ECG, EEG, vibrations or others). These platform technologies will be useful for multifunctional wearable electronic products. The project will exploit the potential of the advances in area of FWE (Flexible and Wearable Electronics) and will develop improved manufacturing process, addressing the challenges in using new materials, fabrication process, quality control, integration, and others. The project will demonstrate innovative, useful, market driven, sustainable prototype/s that will be useful for professionals and the future end users. Beyond state of the art advances in device technology (vital signs sensing/monitoring) and related manufacturing will be demonstrated by 3 case studies in 3 different countries.

    Required skills and Expertise:

    GARD is looking for partners with the following relevant expertise:

    • Manufacturer: Big Company/SME experts in combined wearable clothes, organic and printed electronics and large area deposition technologies resulting in multi-functional medical sensors; experienced with equipment and processes for printed electronics fabrication, mass-customisation and characterization as well as bio compatibility.
    • End users: medical hospital/clinics experts for supporting in definition, validation and demonstration of wearable electronics sensors solutions in monitoring applications (for neurological disorders, babies, any other that can benefit ....).

    Description of work to be carried out by the partner(s) sought:

    1. Medical end users for requirements specification, validation and demonstration in specific relevant applications.
    2. Definition of the relevant state of the art, producing the prototype, detailed requirements specification, market research, standardization and exploitation planning.
