27 research groups across Europe have won highly-coveted ERC Synergy Grants.
The ERC announced the winners of 27 Synergy Grants, who will share a total of €250 million. The projects will receive funding of up to €10 million each for the coming years. Each project brings together two to four outstanding researchers.
The 27 projects engage 88 lead researchers who will carry out their projects at 63 universities and research centres in 17 countries across the European Research Area.
