Beyond their intrinsic quality as fundamental sciences, the Social Sciences and Humanities (SSH) are of key importance for framing scientific and technological innovation and, more generally, for assuring inclusive, sustainable and ethic evolution of societies. At the same time, innovative scientific approaches and practices develop and new national, European and international research programme offer huge challenges.
