    The specific objective here is to foster a competitive and innovative space industry and research community, to develop and exploit space infrastructure to meet future European Union policy and societal needs. Strengthening the European space sector by boosting space research and innovation is vital to maintaining and safeguarding Europe's access to and operations in space.

    The following broad line of activities is foreseen:

    • Enabling European competitiveness, non-dependence and innovation of the
      European space sector
    • Enabling advances in space technologies
    • Enabling exploitation of space data
    • Enabling European research in support of international space partnerships
