    Nanotechnologies, Advanced Materials, Biotechnologies and Advanced Manufacturing and Processing (NMBP)

    Aim of the NMBP Work Programme (WP) is to secure Europe’s industrial leadership by stimulating investment and uptake in high added-value, competitive products and services across a wide range of sectors. Activities of the work programme will address the whole innovation chain with technology readiness levels (TRLs) spanning the crucial range from medium levels to high levels preceding mass production. The overall aim is to advance promising technologies closer to the market.

    The Work Programme 2018-2020 will focus on:

    • Open Innovation Test Beds OITBs: one-stop shops for SMEs to upscale their technologies
    • Governance, science-based risk assessment and regulatory
    • Materials characterisation and computational modelling
    • Advanced Manufacturing and Factories of the Future (FOF)
    • Biotechnology
    • Medical technology innovations
    • Sustainable process Industries (SPIRE)
    • Catalysis and the circular economy
    • Clean energy through innovative materials
    • Cultural heritage
    • Energy-efficient buildings (EEB)
