Information and Communication Technology in LEIT

In Horizon 2020, ICT has been integrated into the three different pillars. The ICT "Challenges" from FP7 have been regrouped under the Leadership in Enabling & Industrial Technologies (LEIT) pillar, which will contain the following sub-programmes:

    Lead NCP: Stefan Fischer

    • New generation of components and systems
    • Advanced computing
    • Future internet
    • ICT Cross-cutting Activities
    • Horizontal ICT Innovation Actions

    Lead NCP: Francesco Kienzle

    • Content technologies and information management
    • Robotics
    • Micro- and nano-electronic technologies, Photonics

ICT in LEIT is structured around focused implementation of roadmaps for research and innovation developed in close collaboration with industrial partners in several Public Private Partnerships (PPPs). The LEIT programme will also support the Key Enabling Technologies (KETs) micro- and nanoelectronics, photonics, and robotics, as well as other cross-sectorial KETs.
