Horizon 2020: Associated! Swiss National Conference
Since 1 January 2017, Switzerland is fully associated to Horizon 2020. This information is of particular importance for applicants to the European Research Council (ERC) and Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA), whose participation would have been impossible if Switzerland had been downgraded to "Third Country" status. An important change concerns small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), which are now entitled to participate in the "SME Instrument". Euresearch and the State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation (SERI) are organising a Swiss National Conference entitled "Horizon 2020: Associated!" on 14 March 2017 in Bern, in order to broadly inform about Switzerland's new status.
What has changed for researchers in Switzerland now? What are the new opportunities, especially for SMEs and industry? You will hear all about this and more at this large event. At a general session in the morning, prominent speakers from SERI and the European Commission will discuss the benefits of Switzerland’s participation in European Framework Programmes for Research and Innovation. Different breakout sessions will take place in the afternoon.
"Participation in EU Framework Programmes is one of the priorities of Switzerland’s science and innovation policy," says SERI. Attendance is free of charge so take the opportunity and register now on our website. We look forward to welcoming you.
