European Funding Opportunities for Research & Development for Swiss Industry 4.0
Industrial Leadership is one of 3 priorities of the EU Framework Programme "Horizon 2020" and it has laid out a path to digitise European industry.
Industry 4.0 refers to the whole manufacturing process being digitally connected – concept, design, suppliers, production site distributors and services, even the product itself – thus providing a highly integrated value chain. The EU supports this process change and has allocated €1.7 billion for research and development topics addressing digitisation of the European industry as well as the uptake of digital technologies.
In Switzerland, companies as well as academic players in this field can apply for Industry 4.0 topics in Horizon 2020. These thematically prescriptive projects are addressed in a consortium. Participation can link partners to national and international players and strengthen strategic networks beyond the duration of the project.
To help you identify relevant topics, an event dedicated to Industry 4.0 is being organised on 30 August 2018 in Bern. Hear a first-hand testimonial from a successful applicant and interact with our specialists on digitising European industry, cybersecurity and Factories of the Future.
