Euresearch - Swiss Guide to European Research and Innovation

Euresearch is the Swiss network mandated by the State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation providing targeted information, hands-on advice and transnational partnering related to European research and innovation programmes.

The network is composed of a Head Office in Bern and Regional Offices at each University and (Swiss) Federal Institute of Technology.

Swiss Participation in Horizon 2020

In its meeting of 22 October 2014, the Federal Council approved the agreement on Switzerland’s participation in the Horizon 2020 research programme. The agreement covers Switzerland’s partial association to the programme between 15 September 2014 and 31 December 2016.

Horizon 2020: 6.6 Million Euro to Reduce Overtreatment of Elderly Patients

The EU programme Horizon 2020 has selected a project for funding that will be coordinated by the University of Bern and the Bern University Hospital (Inselpital). The project OPERAM will receive over 6 million Euro and is a study with the goal to optimise therapy in order to prevent avoidable hospital admissions in the multimorbid elderly. Coordinator of the project will be Prof. Nicolas Rodondi.
